Chairman of the Indonesian Film Censorship Institusion (LSF), Naswardi, declared that 2024 marks the beginning of a new era for Indonesia’s national film industry. Speaking at the opening of LSF’s National Coordination Meeting (Rakornas) in Jakarta on November 22, 2024, he highlighted a major milestone: by the end of October, the board had issued film censorship certificates (STLS) for a total of 36,061 titles 406 of which were released in cinemas.
